Emilia Romagna is considered the quintessential Foodies’ Region of Italy. Each location on this tour is famous for a unique food specialty. We start in Cremona, a town in Lombardy separated from Emilia Romagna by the Po River, famous for its Torrone and Mostarda. Next, we go to Polesine Parmense, where we sample Culatello, which is considered the king of fine cured meats in Italy. We will also enjoy several tastings from underground wine cellar discoveries in this area.
On this tour, we will visit with many producers to learn about the process of making traditional products. We will experience Parmigiano Reggiano and Prosciutto di Parma, eating it fresh sliced inside its aging room. We will also learn about the incredibly tasty local Balsamic Vinegar. All small producers, all friends of ours, all personal exclusive experiences!
We will end the tour in the cultural city of Bologna. Along with beautiful historic walking tours, we will enjoy Bologna’s famous tortellini in brodo and tagliatelle with Bolognese Ragù!
